Dakota Specialty Milling's recent name change has been successfully implemented. The seamless transition from Roman Meal Milling Company to Dakota Specialty Milling Company was well received by our customers as well as our suppliers. The name change, implemented on January 1, 2008, reflects the growth and expansion the company has experienced since becoming an independent milling resource nearly twenty years ago. Since then, Dakota Specialty Milling Company has grown from a single milling company dedicated to supplying one company to a company that supplies the wholesale bread baking industry in eleven separate countries.
Our new name reflects our location in America's heartland and our direct access to the quality raw materials that are at the core of our manufacturing capabilities. In particular, the "specialty" in our middle name speaks to our deep commitment to our customers and our ability to deliver products that meet their needs. "Our name change went off without a hitch because of our strength in the marketplace," explains Dakota Specialty Milling Company CEO, William L. Matthaei. "Nothing about the performance of our staff or products has changed." The new name, along with its updated logo, can be seen throughout all company marketing, collateral, and packaging.
