Fourth Generation Joins Dakota Specialty Milling

Peter Matthaei

In the best tradition of milling and farming families, Dakota Specialty Milling CEO, Bill Matthaei, is pleased to announce Peter Matthaei has joined the Dakota Specialty Milling Company. A graduate of Washington State University with a degree in Business, Matthaei will assist COO Joel Dick and Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Wayne Flood, with special projects and strategic initiatives.

Long familiar with the inter-departmental workings of the mill, Peter Matthaei has served as an intern at the Roman Meal Company as well as working at Scheel's All Sports of Fargo, ND. He is the fourth generation of Matthaeis to join the family milling business.

"We are delighted to have Peter join us," says Flood. "He is an exceptional young individual who brings energy, enthusiasm and insights to our business activities. It's gratifying to see a new generation as a part of the company."

Eager to take up the heritage and tradition, Peter Matthaei grew up around the milling business. "I'm truly excited to join the company," says Peter. "I'm looking forward to learning all I can about this expanding business."

"We've seen substantial growth with the consumer demand for quality whole grains," continues Flood. "We see a bright future for grain-based industries and we want to be right in the middle of it." Working in tandem with Flood and Dick, Peter Matthaei will help Dakota Specialty Milling encourage custom product development and sell the company's versatile stock product offerings right off the shelf.
